Who this itinerary is for

This is not a Char Dham itinerary; it shares only Badrinath with the others. The centre of it is three nights at Ghangaria (3,050 m): the 13 km walk up from Govindghat on Day 2, the Valley of Flowers on Day 3, and the 12 km round trip to Hemkund Sahib at 4,632 m on Day 4 — higher than any of the four dhams. Badrinath follows on Day 5 as the way down, with Brahmakapal rites for those who want them. It runs in the Valley of Flowers season, June to September, when the Char Dham road packages are quietest, and the walking is more than any of them: roughly 40 km over three days. Take it if Hemkund Sahib is the destination, or the wildflowers are; do not take it as a roundabout way to Badrinath. There is no helicopter alternative for Hemkund as there is for Kedarnath.

   Day trek to the UNESCO World Heritage Valley of Flowers (3,658m). 87 sq km of meadows with 500+ wildflower species — Blue Poppy, Brahma Kamal, Cobra Lily, Anemone. Return Ghangaria evening. Overnight.

   Predawn start. 6 km trek to Hemkund Sahib Gurudwara (4,632m) — sacred glacial lake + Sikh shrine. Sarovar bath (icy glacial). Return Ghangaria. Overnight.

Badrinath is open from 23 April 2026 to ~13 Nov 2026. Registration is compulsory and free, and we complete it for every guest on this package — see the registration guide and the closing dates if you are booking late in the season.
