Reach Ramnagar and transfer to the resort near the Kosi river. After lunch and a rest, head out on the afternoon jeep safari into the allotted zone — Bijrani or Jhirna are the usual afternoon zones. Return by dusk. Overnight resort.

Early morning safari, the best window for tiger and the cats generally. Back for a late breakfast. Afternoon is relaxed — Corbett Falls, Garjia Devi temple on its river rock, or the Corbett museum at Kaladhungi (his old home). Evening free at the resort. Overnight.

Q. Which is the best zone in Jim Corbett for tigers?
Dhikala is the most famous for sightings and scenery, but it is a limited day-visit or overnight FRH zone that books out far ahead. For a weekend, Bijrani and Jhirna give a strong chance and are easier to secure. We book whatever zone has open permits the moment the booking window opens, and tell you honestly what was available rather than overpromising a Dhikala slot we cannot guarantee.
Q. When is Jim Corbett open?
The core safari zones generally run from mid-October or November to mid-June. Some buffer zones like Jhirna and Sitabani stay open through the year. The park closes the core zones during the monsoon. February to May is the most reliable stretch for sightings as water sources shrink.
Q. Can we do this from Delhi over a weekend?
Yes. Ramnagar is roughly 6 hours from Delhi by road or an overnight train. Leave Friday night, do both safaris across Saturday and Sunday, and travel back Sunday evening.

2Start driving by 6 AM every day. Night driving is prohibited on Himalayan roads after 9 PM for safety reasons.

🩺 Altitude Mountain Sickness (AMS)
Kedarnath (3,583m) and Badrinath (3,133m) are high-altitude shrines. AMS symptoms — headache, nausea, dizziness, breathlessness — can affect anyone regardless of fitness. Our driver carries an oxygen cylinder. Spend one night at Guptkashi (1,319m) before ascending to acclimatize. If symptoms worsen, descend immediately.
📱 Network & Connectivity
BSNL works best throughout the Char Dham route and at Kedarnath temple. Jio works at Gaurikund and lower altitudes. Airtel/Vi have limited to no signal above Sonprayag. Buy a BSNL SIM before departure if you need to stay connected during the trek.

Carry: Diamox (altitude medication, consult doctor first), Dolo 650 (fever/pain), ORS sachets, antacid, personal prescription medicines. Medical camps are placed every 3–5km on the Kedarnath route. Our vehicle carries a basic first aid kit and oxygen.
