💡 What we know about Delhi pilgrims (15 years of experience)
Delhi has the most Char Dham Yatra pilgrims of any city — over 40% of our pilgrims board from Delhi, Noida, or Gurugram. This means every May, Delhi-origin batches get priority slots.
The questions pilgrims most commonly search on Google about this yatra.
Delhi to Haridwar — the gateway — is about 220 km (5–6 hours by road). From there the full circuit covers roughly 1,100–1,400 km. Many pilgrims fly or take a train to Haridwar/Dehradun first and start the yatra from there.
Plan 11–13 days from Delhi: about a day to reach Haridwar, 9–10 days for the circuit, and a day to return. By helicopter (flying from Dehradun) the total drops to around 6–7 days including Delhi travel.
By train (5–6 hours; Jan Shatabdi and Nanda Devi Express are popular), by road on NH-334 via Meerut and Roorkee (about 5.5 hours), or by a 40-minute flight to Dehradun's Jolly Grant Airport, which is 35 km from Haridwar.
Road packages from Delhi start around ₹22,999–24,500 per person for 10–11 days all-inclusive, with deluxe options higher. The helicopter package runs about ₹2.2–2.4 lakh. Train or flight tickets to Haridwar are usually separate.
May–June and September–October, matching the temple season (opens April 19–23, 2026). Leave Delhi well before the July–August monsoon to avoid landslide delays on the mountain stretches.
