🗺️ Day-by-Day Itinerary
Haridwar – Guptkashi (210 km | 7–8 hrs)
Depart Haridwar at 5:30 AM. Drive through Rishikesh, past the sacred Devprayag Sangam (confluence of Bhagirathi and Alaknanda — the geographical origin of the Ganga), Srinagar, and Rudraprayag. Arrive at Guptkashi — the "Hidden Varanasi" — by 1–2 PM. Check in. Visit the twin Vishwanath and Ardhanarishwar temples with their stunning mountain backdrop. Dinner and overnight stay.
Guptkashi – Gaurikund – Kedarnath (Trek 16 km)
3:30 AM departure from hotel. Drive 30 km to Sonprayag (compulsory parking point). Board local shared jeep to Gaurikund (1,982m). Perform ritual dip in the warm Gaurikund hot spring (Goddess Parvati is believed to have meditated here). Begin the 16 km trek: Jungle Chatti (4 km) → Bheem Bali (9 km) → Linchauli (13 km) → Kedarnath Base Camp (15 km) → Kedarnath Temple (16 km). Arrive at Kedarnath (3,583m) with snow-capped peaks all around. Evening VIP darshan. Overnight stay at pre-booked camps or GMVN guesthouses.
Kedarnath Full Darshan – Trek Down – Guptkashi
4 AM: Special rudrabhishek puja at the Kedarnath Jyotirlinga — the 12th and highest of the 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva. Witness the morning aarti with over 1,000 pilgrims. Visit Shankaracharya Samadhi (behind the main temple — Adi Shankaracharya attained Mahasamadhi here at age 32). Optional 1 km walk to Gandhi Sarovar (Chorabari Lake — a stunning glacial lake). Begin descent by 10 AM — return to Gaurikund by 2 PM. Drive to Guptkashi. Overnight.
Guptkashi – Devprayag – Rishikesh – Haridwar
Morning drive via Rudraprayag, Devprayag and Rishikesh. Reach Haridwar by 4 PM. Evening Ganga aarti at Har Ki Pauri. Certificate and prasad distribution. Transfer to railway station.

Q. Can I stay overnight at Kedarnath?
A. Yes. We arrange overnight stay at GMVN guesthouses or pre-booked camps at Kedarnath. This is highly recommended as the morning Brahma Muhurta darshan is the most spiritually powerful.
