Delhi taxi service
Every road to Delhi, what each one costs, and where the tarmac actually runs out.
A retired Indian Army officer who founded Shiv Ganga Travels in Haridwar in 2010 and pioneered the zero-commission model for Char Dham operators here. About us
Fares and road notes on this page reviewed July 30, 2026.
Almost nobody books a cab to Delhi as a holiday. They book it because something else has just finished — a yatra, a hill-station week, a wedding in Haridwar — and there is a flight or a Rajdhani out of Delhi the next morning. That makes it the most time-critical drop we run, and the one where the fare matters least and the arrival hour matters most. It is also the leg where a Haridwar-based operator has a real structural advantage: our vehicles are coming back down to the plains regardless, so a one-way drop to Delhi is a run we want rather than one we have to be talked into.

What Delhi actually requires
- Altitude
- 216 m
- Road ends at
- Anywhere in Delhi and the NCR, including all three IGI terminals
- On foot from there
- None
- Season
- Year-round. October to March is the pleasant half; May and June on the plains are punishing after a month in the hills
- Permits
- None required. Note that older diesel vehicles face NCR restrictions, which is one reason we run a young fleet rather than the oldest thing that still passes.
All three, and they are far enough apart that the terminal number genuinely matters. Send us the flight number and we drop at the right one with time in hand
The three stations most yatra groups leave from. Anand Vihar is the quickest to reach coming down NH-9 from Haridwar
Noida, Gurugram, Ghaziabad and Faridabad are all covered at the Delhi fare — there is no outside-city-limits line item
For anyone carrying on by bus. Awkward to reach at rush hour, which is worth planning around rather than discovering

Driving to Delhi, in practice
This is a hill run outside the Char Dham corridor, so none of the yatra paperwork applies. What does apply is arithmetic: average speed on these roads is 25–30 km/h, not the 60 a map will assume, and the last stretch is single-lane in places. We quote the honest driving time rather than the optimistic one.
The vehicle that takes you to Delhi
Every cab to Delhi on this page is our own vehicle with our own driver. The Innova Crysta is the usual booking for the hill section — all four are available from any of the origins above.

Toyota Innova Crysta
The one we put senior travellers in. On the Rudraprayag–Guptkashi stretch the difference in ride quality is not subtle.

- Best for
- Families of 4–6, and anyone who wants the most comfortable seat on the hill

What our passengers say
The price I was quoted in February was the price I paid in May. After what I read about agent markups, that alone was worth it. Badrinath darshan was handled well and Tapt Kund before the 4:30 AM slot was something I will remember for a long time.
Three generations travelling together, and the pacing was right for all of us. Oxygen was on the vehicle and we needed it once, at Kedarnath, and it was there in under a minute. They arranged proper Tamil vegetarian food at two hotels on request, which I did not expect this far north.
Six days, all four dhams. One flight was held two hours for cloud at Kedarnath, which is nobody’s fault, and the team kept us updated and rebuilt the next day’s schedule to make it up. Four stars only because the Dehradun hotel on night one was the weakest link.
Cabs to Delhi, answered
About 210 km and five to six hours on NH-334 through Roorkee, Muzaffarnagar and Meerut. Leave by 7 AM to beat the worst of the Delhi approach; a 4 PM departure can turn the same drive into eight hours.
Every Delhi transfer on this page is run by us directly — our vehicle, our driver, no broker in between.
Direct operator — our own vehicles and our own drivers, no broker in between, operating from Haridwar since 2010. Registration, fleet and credentials.
