The Innova Crysta is the vehicle we put senior passengers in, and that is the whole case for it. On a plains run the difference against an Ertiga is comfort you could argue about; on the ten-hour climb to Badrinath or the Mandakini valley to Sonprayag it is the difference between arriving tired and arriving unable to walk to the temple the next morning. The suspension absorbs the broken surface above Rudraprayag in a way nothing cheaper does, the seat has real back support, and there is room for four large cases without anything on a lap. We also run the older Innova body at a lower rate — same engine, same reliability, less refinement — and we will tell you when the Crysta is genuinely not worth the difference.

2026 season rates. The 8 hr / 80 km day is a slab, not a target — whichever limit you cross first starts the extras. Outstation trips add a flat ₹300 per night driver allowance; night running between 10 PM and 6 AM adds ₹300 to a local booking. Every one of these numbers is on the page before you book, which is the entire difference between us and a call-centre quote.

What a Innova Crysta is genuinely good for
The single most common reason people pay the difference, and the one we think is always justified on a hill route.
Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri, Auli — anything over 250 km of mountain road.
Six seats and four large cases without anyone holding a bag on their knees.
A quieter cabin at 4 AM is worth more than it sounds.
When not to book a Innova Crysta
Every operator will tell you what a vehicle does well. These are the cases where we would put you in something else, including the ones where that earns us less.
For two people on a plains route it is money spent on capacity you will not use — a Dzire does that run for roughly half.
It seats six, not seven. Operators who quote it as a seven-seater are counting a seat nobody adult can sit in for eight hours.
On the tightest diversions above Sonprayag a Scorpio has better clearance. We will say so if the road that week calls for it.
Every Crysta we send on a Char Dham route carries a current Green Card and trip permit, and oxygen is fitted as standard above 2,500 m rather than charged as an extra.

Cancellation, in plain terms
We do not take payment online. Most bookings run on a small advance over UPI and the balance to the driver at the end of the trip, so there is rarely anything to refund. Full cancellation terms.
What our passengers say
Eight of us, including my parents at 72 and 69. Palki was arranged for both at Kedarnath without any fuss. Ramesh bhai, our driver, was calm on roads that frightened me and knew every tea stop worth stopping at. Ground-floor rooms at every hotel, as promised.
The price I was quoted in February was the price I paid in May. After what I read about agent markups, that alone was worth it. Badrinath darshan was handled well and Tapt Kund before the 4:30 AM slot was something I will remember for a long time.
Three generations travelling together, and the pacing was right for all of us. Oxygen was on the vehicle and we needed it once, at Kedarnath, and it was there in under a minute. They arranged proper Tamil vegetarian food at two hotels on request, which I did not expect this far north.
