The Dzire is the cheapest thing we run and, for a very large share of trips, exactly the right vehicle. Two people going to Rishikesh for the aarti, a couple doing the Haridwar temple circuit, an airport drop at Jolly Grant, a one-way to Delhi — the sedan does all of it for roughly half what an SUV costs, and nobody arrives wishing they had spent more. Where we will talk you out of it is the boot. Two large suitcases is the honest number; the fourth passenger and the fourth bag do not both fit, and finding that out at the pickup point with a train to catch is a bad hour for everyone.

2026 season rates. The 8 hr / 80 km day is a slab, not a target — whichever limit you cross first starts the extras. Outstation trips add a flat ₹300 per night driver allowance; night running between 10 PM and 6 AM adds ₹300 to a local booking. Every one of these numbers is on the page before you book, which is the entire difference between us and a call-centre quote.

What a Swift Dzire is genuinely good for
The most common Dzire booking by a distance, and the cheapest way to travel properly rather than shared.
Har Ki Pauri, both ropeways, Daksh Mahadev and Kankhal inside the 8 hour / 80 km slab.
Jolly Grant to Haridwar, or Haridwar to Delhi — fixed fare, tolls in it.
Delhi, Rishikesh, Dehradun. The road never asks for more vehicle than this.
When not to book a Swift Dzire
Every operator will tell you what a vehicle does well. These are the cases where we would put you in something else, including the ones where that earns us less.
Two large suitcases. Four adults with four cases will not fit, whatever anyone quotes you.
On the long dham climbs the ride is noticeably harder than an Ertiga or a Crysta. Fine for two young travellers, wearing for a family over ten hours.
Air conditioning is switched off on the steep hill sections because it strains the engine on gradients — true of every sedan on those roads, ours included.
A Dzire will do the Char Dham routes and plenty of people book it for exactly that. It carries the same Green Card and trip permit as everything else we send. It is the ride quality, not the capability, that makes us suggest an Ertiga to families.

Cancellation, in plain terms
We do not take payment online. Most bookings run on a small advance over UPI and the balance to the driver at the end of the trip, so there is rarely anything to refund. Full cancellation terms.
What our passengers say
Eight of us, including my parents at 72 and 69. Palki was arranged for both at Kedarnath without any fuss. Ramesh bhai, our driver, was calm on roads that frightened me and knew every tea stop worth stopping at. Ground-floor rooms at every hotel, as promised.
The price I was quoted in February was the price I paid in May. After what I read about agent markups, that alone was worth it. Badrinath darshan was handled well and Tapt Kund before the 4:30 AM slot was something I will remember for a long time.
Three generations travelling together, and the pacing was right for all of us. Oxygen was on the vehicle and we needed it once, at Kedarnath, and it was there in under a minute. They arranged proper Tamil vegetarian food at two hotels on request, which I did not expect this far north.
